although ASOS is just one of the johnny-come-lately(s) to the high street on the left side of the world, (which i’m sure you’ve heard of before, because you’re with it! but am i, because who says with it, anymore?) – it used to be a little online secret of mine – way back, when ASOS used to be an acronym for ‘as seen on screen’, and their clothing copy would inevitably read something along the lines of, ‘as seen on sienna miller-drew barrymore-alexa chung-someotherstarletwithastylist’, (because surely we want to buy clothes to look like someone else, right?)
however, luckily for those of us who can ignore cheesy copy, and for those who are looking for a wardrobe that’s closer to affordable, (or searching for a quick fix for the latest trend), ASOS will probably make your little hearts flutter. you see, see below:
you see? hearts a-fluttering.
*one other thing to note about ASOS, is that they carry a pretty extensive plus-size selection of super cute clothes, which if i may be so blunt, rarely happens.
is this not one of the most cringe-inducing, (yet highly amusing!) things you’ve seen in a very long while? it’s quite enjoyable, this schadenfreude i feel for this completely budget chanel no.5 ad. oh brad, don’t you know about quality control?
i’m currently idling at the intersection of fashion and interior design.
it used to be that i’d spend hours and hours, (and hours), clicking through all the photos that fashion not-week-but-month had to offer – eyes glazing over the detail, colour and cut. but, i feel things have changed. and it’s not you, not you, fashion, it’s me. i’ve changed. you see, i still love it, i really do. but the drive and the zeal, having that energy to look through countless shows? juuuuust, ugh, no. and that’s okay, because there’s countless others who’ll do it exponentially better than i ever could, (hi: manrepeller, susie bubble, and fashion copious), and so on, and so on, ad infinitum. because you know what? that zeal and drive? it’s got it’s laser pointers on something else now.
it’s a side table. and i think we’re going to be very happy together.
okay, it’s not really about the table. it’s about where i live. and i’ve figured out, much later than most, that not only do i want to look like myself, i want my home to be more about me, too. so, while i’m idling at this light, take a look at few things i’ve found, and tomorrow i’ll probably be back with a dress, (or more likely a bracelet – or three).
