we’ve been playing a game of hot & cold.

the weather’s been a tad bit capricious where i am. it’s been cold. it’s been uneasily warm. we had more snow in the month of december than we had all winter last year. and right now outside my window, it’s just plain soggy out. it’s confusing, but only because one must get dressed in the morning to protect ourselves from these fickle elements, (and from indecent exposure charges).

to save myself from the morning melancholy that comes from staring at my clothes looking for something i recognize, like i’m looking at a line-up of suspects, i’ve relied on a handful of go-tos that never seem to fail me. and should you notice that i’m repeating myself, let’s just say it’s a matter of convenience, because when something looks and feels good, why wouldn’t you wear it over and over again?
