“use what language you will, you can never say anything but what you are.” // r.w. emerson

if it’s true you that you can’t say much of anything other than what you are, i would think that the clothing you wear is your voice when you’re unable to speak.

it’s the first thing others see of you – what you put on your person when you go out into the world. i think it must speak volumes. sometimes you shout, sometimes you’re as quiet as a mouse – and sometimes you’re just exactly what you’re meant to be. and that’s just exactly you. and when you stumble upon a line or a singular piece of clothing that speaks to you on your level, in the same cadence, at the same tone and with your inflection – it’s hard to ignore what’s being articulated.

so, that’s a lot of waxing poetic, to say that la garçonne’s in-house moderne line is totally speaking my language…

I hate to quote rachel zoe, but fashion is telling people who you are without having to speak. It’s the first thing we judge people based on, it tells their story, where they came from. At times, it reflects their current state of mind. I find it very fascinating. That being said, I love the first grey piece.

You write SO WELL, BTW! HOPE YOU CHECK OUT MY BLOG AS WELL 🙂
