“the ego is kind of a big, unwieldy thing. it’s not so easily tamed or subdued.” // a. ball
wild horses, egos, my dog’s incessant baying whenever the postman-courier-my-mother-and/or-husband or anyone even breathes on the door – can be tamed. what’s more, and impossibly difficult to bear is the raw, unmanageable and uncivilized manner in which my hair behaves in this keenly inclement weather.
not only is it HUMID, it seems as if the monsoons have lost their way and ended up on the wrong side of the world. the rain people, the rain has been INSANE in these plains.
it’s haphazard enough trying to get fine, massively curly hair to listen to a word of your advice, let alone allow the pounds of product you put onto it to do their jobs effectively when the weather is basically telling you to sod off, (as it kicks you in the shins and runs away).
nevermind, i’m not a quitter. i’ve been doing this for years, and i’ll never give up trying.
unless of course i move to a more agreeable clime – that would make things simpler, now wouldn’t it?
