“the secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.” // l. ball
between today and friday, i suppose it wouldn’t be a stretch to aver that i’ve got aging on the brain – which reminds me, i really should do my puzzles later today, must keep this noodle al dente.
it’s not that it’s a concern really, it’s just a thought that’s been knocking around for a bit.
it’s not weighty at all, having this mortal coil rankling about, life and death and what this, this life all means bubbling about in my brain. it just rolls off, this little bit of fluff we call living. it makes me think that perhaps i’m not the only one who has this thought idling about, considering the resurgence of the child’s ideal of dressing as of late.
overalls, peter pan collars, slogan tees, little-girl mary-janes and comic strips on trainers. is it a matter of regressing, being immature, wanting to simplify, or wanting to stay young, whatever the means?
who knows? who cares?
