“nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so that each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry.” r. p. feynman
sitting here, in front of this forever blinking cursor, i’m trying to think of one pattern, figurative or literal, that appeals to me – and that doesn’t contains some sort of very obvious order.
i think in life, you’re wired either to adhere to a personal system of checks and balances, or to embrace the chaos. there are moments when those two crossover – momentary glimpses of how the other half live, but i think we all end up back where we belong; either nestled into our safety nets of some semblance of routine, or into our personal templates of disarray. neither side is more correct than the other; we just sidle up to the one that feels safest and keep on going.
which side do you think i cling to, which one do you?
